In a futuristic space city, two teenagers travel through a wormhole to retrieve a box of dangerous inventions that could destroy humankind. They find themselves in a strange ancient land; planet earth in the 21st century.
What genres does your screenplay fall under?

Why should this screenplay be made into a movie?
We need more movies that can be enjoyed by the entire family. Movies with excitement, comedy, drama, and heart. Movies that don’t keep parents on edge, ready cover the eyes and muffle the ears of their children.
Besides, there really aren’t enough movies that portray the grand relationship, the one between grandparents and grandchildren. And even fewer with grandparents who are vibrant, active, successful scientists ready to take on the world.
How would you describe this script in two words?
Grand Journey
What movie have you seen the most times in your life?
It’s a tie between Return to Me and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. I know they’re very different from each other, but which one I want to see depends on my mood.
How long have you been working on this screenplay?
About a year and a half. I’d work on it, switch to another project, and come back to it again. It came together a bit faster than I expected. I think it wanted to be written, so it didn’t throw any temper tantrums.
How many stories have you written?
More than I can count. I’ve been doing it a while.
So, I’ll focus on the stories that became books or scripts.
My ninth book will be out this summer (six novels and three picture books) and I have two additional picture books waiting to be illustrated.
Add to that six screenplays and four shorts, and the total is twenty-one.
What motivated you to write this screenplay?
I adore science fiction and will write it whenever given the opportunity.
I found a short I’d written for a class, read it, and realized it had potential to become a feature. I flipped the focus, expanded the story, and had a lot of fun with the characters. It was a blast!
What obstacles did you face to finish this screenplay?
Life always manages to throw a few obstacles in the way of writing, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. After all, I need to live life to write about it. Each obstacle I encounter is fodder for future stories.
Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?
Family, family, and more family! Oh, and archaeology. And computer stuff.
What influenced you to enter the festival? What were your feelings on the initial feedback you received?
I could write until my fingers came to life and danced off the keyboard by themselves, but what good would that do? All those words on the page are just that, words, until they’re proven able to communicate a story.
Which means a stranger must read my screenplay and understand it. I chose to enter the festival because I enjoy writing material that is appropriate for families. It’s a good fit.
