Overview:

The Phoenix is a tale that takes place in the not so distant future. Mankind has developed the ability to transfer the mind and soul of a human being into an android host body.

About the Director

Prior to his debut as a director of the short film THE PHOENIX, based on his book which he wrote in 2007 and was published by Nova Fronteira – Marcelo developed a solid career in theater as a playwright and director, working with major Brazilian actors such as Wagner Moura, protagonist of Elite Squad, directed by Jose Padilha. Pedreira also wrote the script for The Incurable Ones, directed by Gustavo Acioli, which participated in several festivals around the world.
