Director Biography

Anthony bennett

Anthony Bennett combines an interest in electronic music composition and video editing to produce unusual and thought-provoking visual material.

Anthony is a qualified computer engineer, actor and film editor with influences ranging from David Lynch to Chris Cunningham.

His experimental music video “Blue Horizon” won two film awards and received six nominations at several international film festivals between 2005 and 2006.

Anthony’s latest film “My Little Brother” delivers an important message for today’s society through a combination of stop-animation elements, handheld close up footage and an exciting child narration.

Test3 smallA homeless man, living on the fringes of society, feels out of touch with the speed and exclusivity of his surroundings. He retreats into his imagination to a time where he was better capable of fitting in and was accepted by others. When he is disrupted by a police officer, he initially sees him as a grave threat. However, through an act of kindness, he learns that this particular officer may truly want to help him. In return, he offers forgiveness and shares a bit of himself and how he experiences the world in his own unique way.

James’s world is pretty dull and mundane, varying shades of gray – until his eyes meet Kerry’s on the train. He finally works up enough courage to talk to her, but is left devastated when she appears to ignore him. Dejected, he doesn’t acknowledge her on their next commute, which confuses her. Kerry later tells her friend that she thought he was ‘The One’ but she must’ve mis-read the signs – the twist being that she tells her friend this in sign language.
